Erase years of sun damage with just 1-2 fractional CO2 laser treatments
For years, carbon dioxide or CO2 laser treatments have been the gold standard in treating fine lines and wrinkles. But the treatments were drastic: traditional CO2 laser skin resurfacing removes the entire top layer of skin and takes weeks of downtime—a luxury few of us have.

The fractional CO2 laser
“Like a traditional CO2 laser, a fractional laser uses laser light to generate heat that ablates or burns off the top layer of skin,” Dr. Parungao explains. “But the fractional laser leaves columns of healthy, untouched tissue between the areas that are ablated.
“What we lose in aggressiveness, we gain back in terms of reduced downtime, faster healing and less pain,” says Dr. Parungao. “Some patients might need more than one treatment, but they won't suffer open, draining wounds like patients who undergo traditional CO2 laser treatments.”

‘I'm surprised at how quickly I healed’
